1 lb. ground beef
1 small onion diced
1/2 green pepper diced
1 egg
2 T. ketchup
1/4 t. kosher salt
2 slices white bread - torn into small pieces
1/8 C. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix beef, onion, green pepper, egg, ketchup, milk and salt in bowl. Mix in the torn bread pieces to distribute evenly.
Form into 4 patties and grill or pan fry.

Mom used to make this and it was one of my favorites!! She would make them into giant (probably 1/4 lb.) meatballs. Then she would pan fry them til they were crisp all over. Then put them in a casserole dish, covered with brown gravy (with mushrooms...or maybe she used cream of mushroom soup) and a dollop of sour cream. Bake til bubbly and serve them over egg noodles. YUM!!
