2/3 cup margarine
2/3 cup butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup sugar or colored sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter, margarine, and sugar. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and salt and stir in creamed mixture until dough comes together. Roll dough into balls - about 1 1/2 inch thick. Roll in sugar if you prefer, or no sugar but ice cookies after baked. Do not grease pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes.
