Granny's Famous Yeast Rolls Recipe

Ingredients: 3/4 cup of milk 1/4 cup of butter 2 large eggs (brown are best) 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup sugar 3 cups bread flour 1/4 oz SAF gourmet perfect rise yeast

Directions: |
Directions:1. Combine yeast, 1 cup of flour, and other dry ingredients. 2. Heat milk to 120 - 150 degrees. 3. Combine dry mixture, milk, and butter in mixing bowl at low speed. 4. Beat 2 - 3 minutes on medium speed. 5. Add eggs and beat 1 minute. 6. By hand stir in enough flour to make soft dough. 7. Knead on floured surface 5 - 7 minutes or until smooth and elastic. 8. Add additional flour if necessary. 9. Place dough in lightly oiled bowl and turn to grease top. 10. Cover, let rise until almost double (about 20 minutes) 11. Divide dough into 4 parts. 12. Divide each part into 3 pieces. 13. For pan rolls shape each piece into smooth ball and place in a greased 9 inch cake pan. 14. For individual rolls place balls in a greased muffin pan cups or 2 - 3 inches apart on greased baking sheets. 15. Cover and let rise at room temperature until indentation remains when touched. 16. Bake at 375 degrees oven for 20 - 25 minutes for pan rolls or 12 - 15 minutes for individuals. |

Notes: Granny used to take these rolls to all of the dinners she attended and they were always gone in 5 minutes. When she made them for family meals, she always kept a few back for me. She would split the in half and toast the for my breakfast. They were the best!!
