1 lb. ground beef
2/3 cup cracker crumbs
1/3 cup minced onion
1 egg
1 1/2 TSR. sale
1/4 TSR ginger
1/4 cup milk
1 T. shortening
2 T. cornstarch
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 can (13 oz.) pineapple tidbits (reserve syrup)
1/3 cup vinegar
1 T. soy sauce
1/3 cup chopped green peppers

Directions:

Mix beef, crumbs, onions, eggs, salt, ginger and milk. Shape into round balls and bake 400º for about 15 min. Mix cornstarch and sugar. Add reserved pineapple syrup and add enough water to make 1 cup of liquid. Add vinegar and soy sauce and stir until smooth. Pour into skillet and cook over med. heat stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 min. Add meat balls, pineapple and green peppers and heat through.
