About 4 peeled Yukon Gold potatoes sliced thin into rounds
1 onion cut in half and then sliced thin
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon pepper
¼ teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon salt plus more for onion
Olive oil and or butter

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all spices in a small bowl and set aside.
Add 1 tablespoon of oil or butter into a wide skillet over medium heat and add the sliced onion along with a pinch or 2 of salt. Cook until onion starts to turn golden brown. Remove onion with tongs or spatula.
Add some more butter/oil to skillet and add the potatoes. Season them with all over with the spices and turn them all around with a spatula to coat evenly. Put a lid on the skillet and leave alone for a few minutes.
Remove lid and add back the onion. Turn over again with the spatula and put lid back on. Cook another few minutes. Remove lid and test for doneness and seasoning. Serve.
