1 cup brown sugar
2 cups boiling water
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter. Add cornstarch and stir till smooth.
Add sugar and keep stirring until sugars turns a darker brown color. Be careful not to burn it. Slowly add the water and cook until thick. Add vanilla and stir.
Serve warm over Christmas pudding. May be made ahead and rewarmed.

For an easy and quick desert serve over angel food cake and vanilla ice cream. Add a sprinkle of fresh fruit on top (optional).
