2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1 cup milk
2 cups granulated sugar
dash salt
1 Tablespoon Karo corn syrup
2 Tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup nuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Butter a loaf pan. In medium saucepan, combine chocolate & milk. Cook over low until chocolate is melted. stirring constantly. Add sugar, salt & Karo©. Stir until mixture boils. DO NOT STIR AGAIN! Cover & cook 1 minute. Uncover & cook to softball stage (236º). Remove from heat. Add butter. Place pan in ice water to cook quickly to lukewarm (120º). Add vanilla. Beat like crazy w/ wooden spoon until thick & candy loses it's gloss. Quickly add nuts. Pour into prepared pan.
