1 gallon Apple Cider
48 whole Cloves
4 teaspoons of whole Allspice
12 pieces of stick Cinnamon
1 cup of Sugar
1 cup of Orange Juice (fresh tastes best if possible)
6 tablespoons of Lemon Juice (fresh tastes best if possible)
2 teaspoons of Ginger
2 teaspoons of Nutmeg

Directions:
Combine on a cheesecloth or cheesecloth bag all spices. Cover with one cup of orange juice. Bring just to a boil, cover and steep overnight in the refrigerator. Next day, combine other ingredients, add steeped orange juice and bring to a slow boil. Simmer 10 minutes, strain and serve hot.

*Note: 2 cups of Apple Brandy may be added after boiling if you desire a bit more of a kick to your Wassail (smiles).

This recipe goes back in my family more than 30 years and is a Christmas tradition for my family all these many years. Even our kids grew up loving this Wassail. Its a great make ahead recipe that warms you up on a wintery day or night.
