1/2 cup lukewarm water
2 teaspoon sugar
2 packages yeast

1 cup scalded milk
1 cup butter
2 eggs (beaten)
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups bread flour

Directions:
Directions:
To make yeast mixture combine water, 2 teaspoons sugar, and yeast. Let rise 10 minutes. Should be very bubbly.
Cool scalded milk, add butter and stir. Then add eggs, sugar, and salt.
Mix well. Add yeast mixture.
Mix in 4 cups of bread flour.
Refrigerate overnight.
The next day knead well on a floured surface.
Pinch off small pieces and roll into pencil thin strips.
Shape coil into crescent and over lap ends.
Let rise to double of the size.
Bake 10 -12 minutes at 350 º F.
When warm add butter icing to the tops.
