Version #1:
6 cups whitesugar
6 cups water
1/2 cup (8 Tablespoons) instant coffee
1/2 cup pure vanilla extract
1/2 gallon vodka

Version #2:
4 cups water
3 cups white sugar
6 Tablespoons instant coffee
(1/4 cup) 4 Tablespoons vanilla
1 liter (3 1/3 cups) vodka
Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, water & coffee in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer 1 hour, covered. Keep watch so it doesn't boil over. Cool then add vanilla & vodka. Bottle then let age 5-6 weeks.
