Melt in saucepan 1/2 cup margarine
Add and beat together:
2 cups white sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
4 eggs
Add:
1 1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla

Bake in cookie sheet at 350 F. No icing. Just "plain" good.
