1/2 C celery
1/2 C onion (both chopped)
3 C. cornbread
3 C. dry bread, torn in small pieces
1/2 C margarine or oil
1 Bay leaf
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
1/2 tsp. sage
salt and pepper
2 eggs
13/4 C. milk or giblet juice
optional, canned oysters, drained

Directions:
Directions:
Saute chopped celery and onion in oil til clear.
Mix bread and cornbread (crumbled) in large bowl
Add bay leaf and seasonings
Mix eggs and milk and alternate sauteed mixture with milk mixture siring to combine
Lightly stuff turkey just before roasting.
We usually put some oysters in the dressing in the front of the turkey and kept the plain for the main turkey cavity.
Usually doubled this recipe as we would do a large turkey.
