5 cups self-rising flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon soda
1 cup shortening
2 cups buttermilk at room temperature
2 packages of yeast, dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Add milk and yeast. Stir well. Keep covered in refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Better overnight. Pinch off amount needed to make biscuits. Place on a greased pan and let rise until doubled in size (1 to 2 hours). Bake at 425° for 10-15 minutes. Dough will keep in refrigerator for 2 weeks.
