Sponge:
2 cups milk (or soymilk)
1/4 cup oil
1/4 cup sugar

2 TB yeast
1 tsp sugar
1/4 cup warm water
6 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Scald 2 cups of milk. Add the oil and the 1/4 cup of sugar (or honey). Stir well and let mixture cool. Combine yeast remaining sugar and water, allow yeast to ferment for a few moments. Add yeast to cooled milk mixture along with 2 cups of flour. Stir well and allow sponge to sit for 30 minutes. Add the remaining flour 1 cup at a time until dough is stiff enough to knead. Turn out onto floured surface, add remaining flour, enough do that dough is no longer sticky. Knead for 5- 10 minutes. Shape rolls and place on oiled cookie sheet. Allow to rise 30 minutes. Bake on 375 º oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
