2 Unsweetened Baking Chocolate Squares
1 cup sugar
2 unbeaten eggs
1/2 cup Crisco (may use butter flavored)
1 cup sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1tsp. Vanilla
1/2 cup of nuts (if desired)

Melt chocolate and Crisco together. Pour over sugar and mix. Blend in eggs. Add the remaining ingredients; mix well. Put into a 9x9 greased pan and bake at 325º for 20 minutes
