1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 c. chocolate chips
1/4 c. pecans, chopped

Baking Ingredients:
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg

If you are preparing this as a dry mix gift:
1) Combine all dry ingredients. Layer flour, oats, brown sugar, white sugar, chocolate chips and pecan in a mason jar (or similar).
2) Include a recipe card with baking instructions.

To make cookies:
1) Preheat oven to 350º F (180º C).
2) Combine all jar ingredients in a mixing bowl.
3) Add the shortening, vanilla and egg.
4) Combine. The mixture will be very dry. Use your hands to combine if needed.
5) Lightly grease a cookie sheet. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto cookie sheet.
6) Bake for 12-15 minutes.
