1 c milk
½ c sugar
½ c vegetable oil
2 eggs
½ tsp salt
½ c mashed warm potatoes (pushed through a strainer)

Directions:
Directions:
Scald the milk, cool and put in a bowl. Add 1 c flour and beat well. Add yeast dissolved in ½ c lukewarm water with 1 tsp sugar. Let stand 15 min. until bubbly. Beat eggs. Add vegetable oil, sugar, salt, mashed potatoes. Add more flour (approx. 3 c). Enough so as sticky for a very light dough. Lighter than bread dough. Let rise one hour.

Break off pieces on floured board ½ “ thick. Let rise ½ hr. (Double in size). Indent. Use apple filling then top with a mixture of ½ c flour, ½ c white sugar, enough margarine to crumble, dash of salt and cinnamon.

Let rise. Bake at 350 F.

(Note from Kathy Comin: When I made these the dough was super sticky. I called Mom from Whitehorse. She laughed, called me a fool for calling prime time but to put margarine on my fingers and work with the sticky dough. This way I would have light buns. I did!)
