3 cups flour
1 cup icing sugar
1/2 cup cornstarch
2 cups (1 lb.) butter, softened
Maraschino cherries (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 325º. Whip all of the ingredients on low until they are blended. Increase speed to medium-high to high to whip the dough to be creamy, maybe 5 minutes. Drop by teaspoonful onto a cookie sheet. If desired, place a piece of maraschino cherry in the center and press it down a bit. Bake 8-10 minutes, watch carefully so they do not become too brown. Take out of the oven when you can see a bit of brown around the bottom edge. Cool on cookie sheet 5 minutes, then place on paper towel to finish cooling.
