1 Cup Butter (softened)
2 Cups Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1/4 Cup Milk
3 3/4 Cups Flour
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 Teaspoon Cream of Tartar
1 pkg. of Sliced Almonds
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon mixed with 3 Tablespoons of Sugar

Directions:

Mix the butter and sugar together in a mixer until creamy. Add the eggs, vanilla and milk and mix until smooth. In another bowl mix the flour, salt, baking soda and cream of tartar. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix well.
Roll dough into small balls and place them on a cookie sheet. Flour the bottom of a drinking glass and use to press the balls of dough into circles about 1/4 inch thick. Press 4-5 almonds on each cookie to look like a sand dollar. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture. Bake cookies at 375 degrees for 7-10 minutes.

This is a recipe I made for a beach themed activity and so many people complimented me on how good they were that I have made them several times since. They are very similar to Snicker-doodles.
