Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 4-5 lb. chicken, cooked and deboned, save the broth
3 c. flour
3 t. baking powder
1 1/2 t. salt
1 1/2 T. Crisco
1 1/2 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix ingredients (except chicken) and roll out 1/4 in. thick on a floured surface. Cut in 1-in. strips, then into about 2-in. long pieces. Place onto waxed paper on a cookie sheet. May have several layers. I place in freezer to harden the dough a bit.
Drop the dough into boiling broth - leftover broth from chicken, plus a couple cans of chicken broth, enough to make a couple quarts. Do not stir. Cover and cook on low about an hour and a half. Makes a creamy white gravy. Add deboned chicken and serve to a happy group!

These are my husband, Mike's, favorite - made like his mother and his Aunt Freda used to make.
