Boil: 1 cube butter
3 T. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. shortening
Pour over 2 c. flour and 2 c. sugar
Add: 1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
dash salt

Bake at 400º for 25 minutes in a cookie sheet.
Boil: 1 cube butter
3 T cocoa
1/2 c. milk
Pour over 2 1/2 c. powdered sugar. Add nuts if desired. Spread on cake.
