10 eggs, separated egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tarter

10 egg yolks
dash salt
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. sifted cake flour

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour first and set aside. Measure sugar and set aside.
In a larger bowl. Beat egg yolks, salt, until thick, add lemon juice and sugar gradually beating until thick enough to hold a soft peak.
Beat egg whites until frothy, then add cream of tarter, beat until stiff. Fold egg whites and flour into egg yolk mixture. Pour into a ungreased tube pan (one you use to make angel food cake)
Bake 350º for 40 minutes
Invert pan until cool.
Can frost, a light glaze works best.

This is Phil's favorite cake, his Mom (Vivien) made this for his birthday when he was growing up .Now Dawn is the best at making this cake for her Dad.
