4 c flour
1 c lard
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 c milk
1 egg.

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first four ingredients by rubbing together. Mix egg and milk then add to the flour mixture. Roll out the dough, cut into squares. Place fresh fruit with sugar to taste, into each square. Bring the four corners together, pinching the edges to seal. Then bake at 350 F until light brown.

I think only aunt Susie mastered the art of making these. Anyway they were the best. What a treat!
