2 package dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1/3 cup plus 1/2 teaspoon sugar
4 - 5 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup of scalded milk, cooled to 110 degrees
1/3 cup salad oil, 2 eggs room temperature
filling:
1/2 cup butter softened
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1 cup pecans or raisons (optional)
icing:
1 cup Confection sugar
2 or 3 tablespoons warm milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract or flavoring

Directions:
In a cup, dissolve yeast in water with 1/2
teaspoon sugar. Let stand for 5 minutes. In mixing
bowl, combine 3 cups flour remaining 1/2 cup
sugar, salt. At low speed gradually beat in milk,
oil, eggs and yeast mixture. Beat until well
blended. Beat in additional flour (about 1 1/2
cups) until the dough pulls away from the sides of
the bowl. Knead on a floured surface. 8 - 10
minutes. Cover and let rise in a greased bowl for 1
hour.
Filling:
In mixing bowl, beat all ingredients until smooth.
Set aside.
Grease 2 - 9" cake pans. Roll out the dough on a
floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness. Spread with
the filling. Roll up in a log shape. Cut in 1 1/4
inch slices. Place in cake pan in a circle one in the
middle. Cover let rise again. Bake at 350 degrees
until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Let cool
then spread with icing. Can freeze for up to a
month.
