2 lbs sirloin steak (cut into 1 inch cube)
1 large onion (chopped)
2 cans beef broth
1 - 16 oz pkg of fresh mushrooms (sliced)
1/4 cup red wine (optional)
3/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons flour
1 pkg wide egg noodles

Directions:
Directions:
Brown the steak and onions in a large skillet over
medium high heat, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat to low, add beef broth cover,
simmer until meat is tender, this process can vary
from as little as 30 min to 2 hours, the longer the
meat is stewed the more it will tender.
add the wine,
mix flour with a small amount of water in a small
bowl to make a paste, gradually add 1/4 cup of the
hot beef broth, mix until smooth add it to the
skillet. this will thicken the stroganoff to a thick
gravy consistency, if further thickening is needed
you can repeat this process or it get to thick you
can add a little water.
add mushrooms, cover, simmer on low 15
minutes, stir frequently to prevent sticking.
Remove from heat stir in sour cream
serve over cooked egg noodles.
