3/4 butter or margarine
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup finely chopped nuts
FILLING
2 egg whites
3/4 cup white sugar
425 g Frozen sliced strawberries
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 envelope whipped topping

For the crust melt butter in medium-size saucepan. Stir in flour, sugar and nuts. Spread in large ungreased baking pan. Bake in 375 degree oven for 15-20 minutes, stirring every few minutes, until nicely browned. Remove from oven. Break up any chunks. Scatter 2/3 crumbs into ungreased 9X13 inch pan. In large mixing bowl put egg whites, sugar, strawberries and lemon juice. Beat on high speed until thickened and volume is increased. This will take about 10 minutes. In another bowl beat cream until stiff. Fold into strawberry mixture. Turn into crumb lined pan. Sprinkle reserved crumbs over top. Cover and freeze overnight or until needed.

I make this for the Ladies Christmas Dessert Gala and the ladies always love it! I like it because it can be made ahead of time and taken out of the freezer when ready to serve.
