3 pints sour cream
2 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup lemon juice
20 ounces crushed pineapple, drained well
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup chopped maraschino cherries
4 ripe bananas, sliced long ways in half, then into bite size pieces

Directions:

Whisk together first 4 ingredients until well blended. Add remaining ingredients and stir well until no streaks remain. Pour into a 9 x 13 pan and freeze over night. Remove from freezer when salad is frozen enough to be cut into pieces for servings, and return the salad to freezer until ready to serve.
