5 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup shortening
1 package yeast
2 tablespoon warm water
2 cup buttermilk
1 stick melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients. Blend in shortening. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand 5 minutes. Add to buttermilk. Add to dry ingredients. Mix. Turn out on flowered board.. Roll out. Cut with biscuit cutter. Dip in melted butter. Place in pan
Bake at 450º for 12 minutes

This recipe makes a lot. They may be frozen - unbaked. They don't raise as much but taste the same.
