1/2 cup butter
1½ cup granulated sugar
3 eggs
1 cup sour milk
1 tsp baking soda
3 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup ground walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cream together butter, sugar and eggs.
Make sour milk (put 1 tablespoon white or cider vinegar in a measuring cup and fill with milk to 1 cup).
Add flour mixture to egg mixture and mix till combined.
Add baking soda to sour milk and stir rapidly until it foams, then add to batter and mix well.
Add vanilla then nuts to batter and mix well.
Add all batter to either a * 9 1/4" x 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes OR 4 Mini loaf pans (5 3/4" x 3 1/4" x 2") and bake for 40 minutes.
Cool then wrap tightly with plastic wrap.
