1/4 lb. butter
1 cup cornmeal
1 quart warm milk
4 well beaten eggs
1 small onion chopped
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Fry the onion in butter until it is a golden brown. Turn the heat to low. Add the cornmeal into the butter and mix well. Add the sugar, salt and the warm milk. Stir slowly until the cornmeal begins to thicken. Remove from heat. Add the well beaten eggs and baking powder. Mix well together and put in a greased pan, or roaster, and bake at 325 for 1 hour.
