French or Italian or any slightly dense bread.
5 large eggs
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 ½ cups half and half
8 ounces cheddar cheese, grated
1/4 green pepper, chopped
1/4 red pepper, chopped
15 cherry tomatoes, cut in half
6 ounces smoked sausage, cubed

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Butter bottom of 13x9x2 inch pan.
Lay bread in bottom of pan.
Add eggs, mustard, salt, pepper, and half and half to a small bowl and whisk together.
Pour over bread in baking pan.
Top with half of cheese.
Sprinkle with peppers, sausage and tomatoes.
Sprinkle with rest of cheese.
Cover loosely with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
Remove foil and bake another 20 minutes.
Let sit about 10-15 minutes before serving.
