2 eggs
1 cup butter or lard
1 cup sour thick cream
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
2 cups sugar
3 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. vanilla
("I sometimes add 3 eggs and 2 Tbsp. cake flour")

Directions:
Directions:
Creram butter and sugar. Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time. Add flour and baking soda and baking powder. Mix together and form a roll. Fefergerate 2 hours. Slice roll and bake 8-10 minutes at 325.

Icing Royal
2 egg whites
4 cups sifted powdered sugar or more to thicken
juice of one lemon
3 drops glicern

Susan Ellen Shadoan(Susie) was born Feb.22,1873in Pulaski Co. KY and died Susan Shadoan Clark, March 1969 on the family farm, Simpson , Mitchell Co. KS. Bill and I had the pleasure to meet her in 1964 in Simpson KS. She was my Great Grand Mother.
