2 Carrots, sliced
2 Onions, sliced
2 Celery stalks cut into 1" pieces
3-4 pound Whole fryer chicken
1tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Ground black pepper
1/2 cup Water, Chicken broth or White wine
1/2 tsp. Dried basil

Directions:
Directions:
Put carrots, onion and celery in the bottom of Crock Pot.
Place whole fryer chicken on top of vegetables.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper and add liquid.
Sprinkle basil over the top.
Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
