3 apples, peeled and sliced
5 tablespoons sugar .
1 tablespoon cinnamon
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 cup oil
1/3 cup orange juice
2 1/2 tsps. vanilla
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsps. baking powder

Preheat oven to 350º. Grease a 10 inch Bundt pan. Combine apples, 5 tbsps. sugar and cinnamon and set aside. Beat eggs, 2 cups sugar, oil, orange juice and vanilla until smooth. Mix flour, salt, and baking powder and add a little at a time until well blended. Put in greased pan as follows: 1/3 batter, 1/2 apples, 1/3 batter, remaining apples, and remaining batter. Bake for one hour or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Sprinkle with powdered sugar while still hot.
