1 cup sugar
1/4 cup cornmeal
1 3/4 cups flour
2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup light cream
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup + 1 tbsp. margarine, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º.
Grease 8 or 9" square pan
Combine corn meal and sugar and mix together. Add rest of the dry ingredients and mix alternately with the beaten egg, cream, milk and melted margarine. Mix by hand and pour into pan.
Bake for 30 minutes until lightly golden.
