1 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsps cocoa
2 tsps baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup chopped nuts ( optional)
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 3/4 cup hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together first 5 ingredients, add milk, oil and vanilla, mix until smooth. Stir in nuts if you want. Pour into greased 8 x 8 pan. Combine remaining ingredients , pour over batter. Bake at 350º about 45 minutes. Makes 6 - 8 servings.

Do not double this recipe, it does not come out the same . Make it twice if you need extra. Make sure the cocoa is dark.
