3/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
1 cup sour milk
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Grease cookie sheet pan (10"x15").
Cream shortening with sugars. Add eggs and beat well. Combine dry ingredients and add alternately with the sour milk.
Bake 15-20 minutes.
Frost lightly after cooling or sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
