1 tbsp. vegetable oil
round or rump roast
flour
garlic powder
salt
pepper
beef broth
water
1 small bay leaf
1 shake of basil
1 shake oregano

Directions:
Directions:
In a soup pot, heat 1 tbsp. of vegetable oil. Place roast in a mixture of flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Roll until coated. When the oil is hot, brown roast on all sides until golden brown. Fill the pot halfway with half beef broth and half water. Add 1 bay leaf, basil, and oregano. Simmer on low for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Gravy will thicken. Add salt and pepper or broth as necessary.
