2 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1 c. water
1 T. oleo
2 T. soda
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. chopped hickory nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, syrup and water in 3 qt. pan,cook until boiling.
Stir in butter, cook without stirring until 230º.
Cook and stir until 280º.
Add nuts and stir to 300º.
Remove from heat and add soda and vanilla.
Pour onto buttered sheet and cool.
Break into pieces.
