1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork
1/4 cup finely chopped onion--or you can use instant or frozen chopped onion
2 eggs - beaten frothy
2 tablespoons chopped celery
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 slices soft bread - soaked in milk
1 cup of warm milk
1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon Worcester sauce
1/2 cup barbecue sauce or ketchup
1/2 cup boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Thoroughly mix meat,onion,celery,and seasonings. Soak bread in milk,add eggs,Worcestershire sauce, barbecue sauce. Combine meat,egg,bread mixture and 1/2 cup breadcrumbs.

Form into two loaves,spread barbecue sauce over top and sides of loaves. If you wish place green pepper rings on top of loaves.

Place loaves in roaster,then pour1 cup of boiling water around the loaves. Do not pour water over the top of loves. Bake for 60 minutes at 350º basting with liquid in pan.th

This is Aunt Esther,s recipe. Takes a little longer. It is really good. 2nd loaf can be frozen.
