1- box vanilla wafers (large)
5-6 bananas
3/4- cup sugar
1/3- cup flour
4- eggs separated beaten
2- cups milk
1/2- tsp. vanilla flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
In glass baking dish layer wafers and bananas starting with wafers and ending with wafers.
In double boiler (never use single boiler) combine sugar, flour, and salt. Stir in egg yolks and milk. While stirring bring to a slow boil then turn heat down to low or medium heat until thick. Remove from heat and add vanilla flavoring. Pour mixture over wafers and bananas.

Can use the 4 egg whites for a meringue if you like.
