1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
salt & pepper
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup uncooked rice
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1 can chow mein noodles

Optional (add any or all, as desired):
mushrooms
water chestnuts
bean sprouts
pea pods

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef with onions and celery. Salt and pepper, to taste. Add remaining ingredients, except chow mein noodles, to beef mixture. Mix and pour into a buttered casserole dish. Bake 1 hour at 350º, stir occasionally. Sprinkle chow mein noodles over top and bake 15 minutes longer.
