2 c. flour
2c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c margarine, softened
1c. nuts, chopped (I use pecans)
1-2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 c. apple, peeled and finely chopped

Preheat oven to 350º.
In large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar and butter; blend at low speed until crumbly. Stir in nuts. Press 2 3/4 c. crumb mixture into ungreased 9 X 13 pan. To remaining mixture, add cinnamon, soda, salt, sour cream, vanilla and egg; blend well. Stir in apples.Spoon evenly over base.
Bake at 350º for 25-35 minutes,or until center is set.
Cut into squares and serve with whipped cream.
