1 - 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion
3/4-1 c. ketchup
2 T yellow mustard
2 T vinegar
1 T sugar
6-8 Italian Rolls

Directions:
Directions:
Mince onion, add to beef and brown, then drain fat.
Make sauce with ketchup, mustard, vinegar and sugar. Pour over beef and onions. Simmer for 30-45 min.
Taste while cooking to make sure the ingredients meet your preferences
(sweet/savory). Add a little hot paprika if desired
Serve on warmed/toasted Italian rolls

My mother was too much of a lady to call any food sloppy, so this was always called barbecued beef in our house.

Quick pick up supper, with cole slaw, potato salad, pickles.
