4-5 cups wild blackberries
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1/8 tsp salt
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1 TBS cornstarch
1 cup boiling water

Directions:
Directions:
Spread berries evenly in 9x13 pan. In large mixing bowl cream sugar and margarine. Add salt, flour and baking powder alternately with milk. Drop this batter by spoonfuls over the berries. Mix together 1 cup sugar and cornstarch and sprinkle over the batter. Pour boiling water evenly over all. Bake at 375 for 45-60 minutes or until top s light brown.

When we lived in Anacortes, Melissa would pick wild blackberries. I'd make cobbler. She also tried black olives and learned to like them in Anacortes. She called olives "berries" because I guess they looked like blackberries. To this day we call olives "berries" in our house.
