7 cups ripe tomatoes, stem ends and cores removed
3/4 cup onion finely chopped
3/4 cup celery finely chopped
1/4 cup green pepper seeded and finely chopped
2 tsp coarse pickling salt
2 tsp sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Dip tomatoes in boiling water for about 1 minute. Remove the peel.

Coarsley chop tomatoes. Put into large saucepan. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring often, on a medium-high heat. Cook for 30 minutes.

Fill hot sterilized jars to within 1 inch of top, seal. Place in freezer. Makes 6 pints.
