1 1/4 cups margarine, softened
2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped walnuts
16 ounces candied cherries cut in half
1 cup mini semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
2. Take 1/2 cup of flour and mix with cherries and walnuts and set aside
3.In a large bowl, cream together margarine and sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine remaining flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture until just blended. Mix in walnuts and cherries and chips. Drop by spoonfuls onto parchment paper on air bake cookie sheets.
4.Bake for 12 to 14 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool for a couple of minutes on the cookie sheet before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

I cook them at 375 on parchment paper on air bake pan then turn off oven and crack open door till cool
