1 pound lean ground beef, seasoned with 1/4 teaspoon salt
1 small onion, minced
1 10 3/4-ounce can condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1 cup thick and chunky salsa
1/2 cup whole milk
8 6-inch corn tortillas, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
Fresh diced tomatoes
Shredded lettuce

Preheat oven to 400º. In a saucepan, over medium heat, stir and cook ground beef and onions until browned; drain fat. Add soup, salsa, milk, tortillas and half the cheese. Spoon into a shallow 2-quart glass baking dish. Cover and bake 30 minutes or until very hot. Remove from oven. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. When serving, top with tomatoes and lettuce as desired.
