1- 2 lb bag of hashed browned potatoes, frozen
1/2 onion chopped
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 c of whipped butter, melted
2 c of sharp cheddar cheese, divided
1 16 oz container of sour cream
salt and pepper, 1/2 t each
corn flakes - about 3 cups crushed mixed with 1 T melted butter for topping

Directions:
Directions:
Mix soup, sour cream and melted butter in large bowl. Mix. then add potatoes (still frozen OK), onion, salt, pepper and 1 c of cheese. Mix well. Put into casserole dish. Combine cereal and butter, top casserole, sprinkle 1 c. cheese over top.
Bake 350 for 45 mins uncovered

First had these at a Mormon funeral. Women in the church all have their own versions and after a funeral, the family is invited back to the church for ham and potato dinner. Unfortunately I have been to too many Mormon funerals.
