Box of vanilla wafers
3/4 c sugar, divided
1/3 c flour
3 eggs, separated
2 c milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
5 ripe bananas

Directions:
Directions:
Layer vanilla wafers and bananas in 9x13 baking dish. Mix 1/2 c sugar and flour, set aside. Blend 3 egg yolks and milk. Put dry ingredients and milk mixture into large skillet, mixing well. Cook on med/low heat ,stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove pudding from stove and stir in vanilla extract. Pour over layered wafers and bananas. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gradually add 1/4c sugar, careful not to overbeat. Spoon over pudding. Bake at 350º for 15 to 20 minutes or until brown. Cool slightly and serve.
